Modern WEA can manage active and reactive power separately and are also capable of actively participating in the grid control. The actuator is the power converter: with the aid of its pulse signals you can affect the power flow actively. For this matter we offer calculations and simulations with Matlab SimPowerSystems® and DIgSILENT PowerFactory® to optimize the regulation concept.
